ATTENDANCE
Students are asked to arrive on time and ready to learn.
PRACTICE
Daily practice is the single most important thing the student can do to ensure success and value from the weekly lesson. It is necessary for parents and students to create time in their routine for this important discipline.
LESSONS
Lessons are scheduled weekly for 30, 45 or 60 minutes. The objective is for students to:
• learn the “language” of music –
• be instructed in a methodology of learning repertory and problem solving, leading to eventual independence from further instruction.
• learn how to listen with a cultivated ear, how to produce a controlled and beautiful sound, understand rhythm and become proficient in reading music notation.
To achieve these objectives, the curriculum focuses on a varied repertoire with a special emphasis on classical literature.
TUITION
Students will be billed for the total available lessons for their lesson day each month. For example, if there are 4 lesson days in a particular month, the student’s tuition will be the lesson fee x 4. Missed lessons will not be deducted from the monthly statement.
Tuition is due no later than the first lesson of a given month.
